New Partnership
Water For People India
A new collaboration with Water For People India (WFPI) as a downstream partner for the Mitha Paani initiative in the Sundarbans, a key component of the multi-year program RISE (Resilient and Inclusive Shoreline Communities).
This partnership addresses the growing challenge of climate change such as saline water intrusion, which has severely affected freshwater availability and heightened vulnerabilities for coastal households.
By implementing decentralized and innovative potable water supply solutions at a community level, the initiative seeks to enhance climate resilience and ensure that climate-disadvantaged communities in the Sundarbans have sustained access to safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water.
